About the game
A Dark Room begins with a cold room and a single action: lighting a fire. Its text interface gradually introduces more choices as the story and mechanics develop. Rather than presenting the whole game at once, it asks you to learn what each new action makes possible and adjust your approach as more information appears. Doublespeak Games released this browser edition for free. It opens directly into play without an account, with language, sound and save controls available on the page.
