About the game
Ikariam puts you in charge of an ancient island settlement. You construct homes and public buildings, direct research and develop the resources needed to support a larger town. Trade and military decisions connect your island to a wider world, with troops and fleets available when diplomacy is not enough. The game is played through a browser rather than a downloadable strategy client. A Gameforge account is required, and optional premium features accompany free access.
